Business Analyst

Due to considerable growth within the Brookson Group we have an opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our Change Team.  The Business Analyst will be responsible for understanding and identifying the business change needs of Brookson Group and relationships between each operating entity.

In this role you will be closely involved in the execution of any project, supporting and advising on areas such as change control, process review, process re-engineering, documentation testing, training and Data migrations.


What you will do

- Perform up front analysis on proposed projects to determine feasibility and business benefit realisation.

- Produce detailed and accurate specification documentation to capture customer requirements and help define conceptual application design options.

- Perform handover activities to project personnel such as IT developers and testers

- Support detailed project tasks such as User Acceptance Testing, Training, Business Process documentation, Process user Roles & Responsibilities definition

- Collaborate with project stakeholders at all levels to understand their challenges and capture define and agree business requirements, business process workflows and system requirements

- Work with project managers to assist in the development and tracking of project plans and risk management


The ideal candidate will have

- Minimum of 3 to 5 years solid Business Analysis experience working across a variety of business areas or evidence of involvement with re-engineering business processes and defining process improvements

- Be educated to a degree level or equivalent

- Sound knowledge of generic software development lifecycle processes and formal analysis and modelling techniques

- Knowledge and experience of data modelling techniques, including normalisation, creation of entity relationship diagrams

- Knowledge of requirements engineering activities and techniques including requirements elicitation, validation, documentation and management

- Experience in performing Business Analysis on ‘green-field’ and maintenance projects involving both package and bespoke solutions

- Knowledge of usability issues and user-centered design techniques

- Knowledge of the IT marketplace & trends and how IT can be exploited to provide commercial benefits
