We are now looking to hire a Finance Assistant to support our central finance team in a variety of tasks ranging from purchase ledger to month end reporting. As a relatively small team you will be able to gain exposure to a range of finance duties and be able to liaise at senior level within a short space of time. In addition to this Brookson will support you through your ACCA to become a Chartered Accountant.

What you will do

  • Assist with month end processes (Close purchase and sales ledgers and post month end journals)
  • Financial reporting
  • Raise purchase orders
  • Raise and distribute customer sales invoices
  • Maintain the sales ledger, create the customer payment run and reconciling payments received
  • Manage debt recovery
  • Prepare daily bank reconciliations
  • Review and process staff expenses forms
  • Review and reconcile company credit card statements
  • Assist in the statutory accounts production
  • Assist with audit file preparation

The ideal candidate will have

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Mathematics A level
